Consider the extent to which the syllabus is a form of communication, and reflect on the other communication needs in an online class. To what extent can we created community in our online classes? In what sense do our students and their communication preferences come into play?
Consider: to what extent is it best to cater to student preferences in communications, and to what extent should we be teaching forms of communication as part of our classes?
